Social Media Director, Amnesty International USA
Alison McQuade (she/her) has 17 years of experience creating, growing and directing social media and digital communications programs where her superpower is turning complicated and uncomfortable topics into mainstream conversation. She has worked primarily for advocacy, political, media, and nonprofit organizations, so she is tired. Alison has spent the last 3.5 years fighting for human rights and leading the social media department for Amnesty International USA. Her past work includes The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, Vox Media, EMILY’s List, and GlobalGiving.
Alison has a MA in Political Management from George Washington University and a BA in Politics from Salve Regina University. You can find her on most social media as @akmcquade, usually tweeting about terrible television, posting her finished puzzles on Instagram, and lurking on Swiftok on TikTok.
