Senior Director Business Development, Publicis Sapient
Amanda is a seasoned strategist driving creative and digital transformation in the public and private sector for nearly two decades. She blends art and science to craft high impact campaigns and innovative programs that drive lasting change and inspire action. Amanda recently joined Publicis Sapient to advance public sector growth, focusing on digital engagement across the federal civilian market.
She previously led client and business strategy U.Group (formerly CHIEF and Rock Creek Strategic Marketing) where she held roles including Director of Marketing Strategy, VP of Accounts, and most recently served as the Chief Growth Officer leading capture and engagement for key accounts including USDA, NASA, Department of Justice, National Park Foundation, the U.S. Mint and the Department of Education – just to name a few. During her tenure, Amanda built multiple teams and organizational capabilities, while helping scale operations after graduating from small business programs and through two acquisitions.
Prior to joining the private sector, Amanda began a 10-year federal career as a spokesperson for the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and created a new role that ushered in digital media and strategic communications for the agency with the Department’s first-ever Twitter account. She later served as the USDA Director of Web Communications with notable accomplishments including establishing the Department’s social media and open data policies, implementing the first open data challenge Apps for Healthy kids to support First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative, and evolving the way in which the Department and its agencies engaged with customers, stakeholders, and the media through new digital channels.
