Kristen Lenhardt has served as the Public Affairs Director at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service since 2021. Prior to this position, she spent 15 years with the Bureau of Land Management in a variety of public affairs roles in Arizona, Montana, Washington D.C. and her home state of Wyoming.

Her career experience in natural resource management, as well as growing up in the mountain west, has given her a desire to not only serve agricultural communities across the country, but the many lives who are impacted by the industry every day.

Lenhardt completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Journalism at the University of Wyoming and her Master of Science degree in Public Communication and Technology from Colorado State University.
