Darrell Gehrt brings more than a decade of experience in senior management roles at fast-growing SaaS companies, where he built and led successful sales organizations. After coming to Cvent in January 2013 to run sales for the Web Survey Division, his responsibilities have been expanded and today he oversees sales for Cvent’s mobile division including providing leadership in all of its revenue-generating efforts, from marketing to client services.
Prior to joining Cvent, Darrell was senior director of sales at Angel, Inc., a division of MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR). He originally joined Angel as a general manager for mid-market sales and was quickly promoted to lead enterprise sales. While at Angel,
Darrell played a key role in helping the company double revenue while moving from wide loses to profitability. Darrell also led efforts to change branding from an automation company to a customer experience management firm. In 2013, Angel was sold for $110 M to Genesys.
Prior to Angel, Darrell was the managing director at Parature, a web-based CRM company. While at Parature, Darrell was instrumental in helping the company secure two rounds of funding. Darrell also built a team to focus on the gaming vertical, which accounted for the highest percentage of product sales. In 2013, Parature was acquired by Microsoft.
